Checking Thai Medicine Registration: Official Links and English-Language Help
A seller’s business license and a medicine’s registration record answer different questions. To check medicine information in Thailand, start with the exact product identity and the official Thai FDA route. English guidance can help you reach the right service without guaranteeing that every search screen or result will be in English.

Identify the product before assessing a seller’s document
Thai FDA’s drug-approval guidance distinguishes the licensing of drug-related facilities from pharmaceutical-product registration. A document about a business should therefore remain a business document in your notes. It does not, by itself, identify the registration status of a particular medicine shown in an advertisement.
Copy the trade name and relevant details from the actual label rather than relying on a shortened sales description. Preserve the strength and presentation as written. If the package, advertisement and document name different things, keep that discrepancy visible and ask for clarification; do not select whichever name gives the most reassuring result. [1]

Start from the official English guidance and follow its current link
The Thai FDA medicines FAQ directs readers to Health Products Search and describes searching by trade name. Use that official starting point to locate the current service. If a page moves or the interface is difficult to use, return to the agency’s navigation rather than treating a seller’s screenshot as the official record.
The English FAQ does not mean every downstream step is available in English. Ask a pharmacist or the relevant official service for help when language, access or an unclear match prevents a reliable check. A search that remains incomplete should stay incomplete in your notes; it is not evidence that a product is registered or unregistered. [2]
Separate the claims in one sales message
The following is a fictional document check. It contains no individual product-registration result.
| Item to check | Example record | What it establishes |
|---|---|---|
| Business document | Seller supplies a facility-license image | A claim about the named business, subject to its own check |
| Product identity | Trade name and presentation recorded from the box | Defines the medicine information being sought |
| Product search | Official result not yet matched | Registration check remains unresolved |
| Individual package | No verified supply or handling history | A product record would not authenticate this box |
| Clinical question | Suitability has not been assessed | Requires a separate professional discussion |
A genuine business document can leave the product question open
Suppose the seller answers a product-registration question by sending a business license. You do not need to call that document false to recognize that it answers a different question. Record the business identity it concerns and ask for the information needed to identify the actual product record.
Even after a product record is matched, keep the individual package and clinical questions separate. Registration information does not reveal what happened to a specific parcel, establish its current storage condition or show that the medicine is appropriate for you.
Keep a useful record of the check
Save the official page address, date and exact details you matched, together with any unresolved mismatch. Keep the original wording if a translation is needed. That makes the follow-up question more precise than a single “verified” checkbox, especially when several products have similar names.
This guide provides an official starting route and a way to interpret documents. It does not validate a named product, seller or individual package, and it supplies no treatment eligibility decision. A missing or uncertain match is a reason to seek clarification, not to invent a favorable or unfavorable finding.

A registry check has a defined scope
No named product, seller or registration result is verified here. This guide supplies no import permission, treatment eligibility or guarantee of an English search interface.
